Odisha Tourism bagged the ‘Best Pilgrimage Tourism Destination Award' 2013

Bhubaneswar ( Odisha Samachar Bureau ) - Odisha Tourism has bagged the ‘Best Pilgrimage Tourism Destination Award’ in a glittering ceremony held at the Taj Palace in New Delhi on 30^th August 2013 conferred by 'Today's Traveller', a leading monthly travel & tourism magazine. 

Mr. Manoranjan Patnaik, Director, Odisha Tourism has received the award on behalf of Odisha Tourism from  Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Mr. Oscar Fernandes. After receiving the award the Director highlighted about the pilgrimage tourism destinations of the State and spoke about the new initiatives taken by the Department to promote and place Odisha Tourism both in domestic and international sector. He also met noted film Producer and Director Mr. Ramesh Sippy and Anurag Basu and invited them to visit Odisha to explore the possibility of  shooting.
