Odisha’s leading NGO, BISWA celebrated its 18th Foundation Day, today in a noble way and organized 312 Mega Blood Donation Camps across the state boundary. The camps were organized in all 30 districts and block head quarters of Odisha . Total 3500 units ‘of blood is collected by the local medical authorities in these camps. In Bhubaneswar, the Blood donation camp was organized at BISWA’s state office and over 30 unit of blood is donated by its employees. Mr. Prafulla Kumar Dhal, Director BISWA inaugurated the camp and said that “BISWA is having presence in all 30 districts and over 30 thousand villages are in its program fold. If all its 13000 employees can donate blood, the state govt. can gain a substantial number of units which will be used for poor people’s treatment in coming years. He applauded Dr K C Malick , Chairman BISWA , who set a new tradition in the organization by celebrating its foundation day by this way ” . The Blood Bank Officer Dr. Gagan Bihari Nayak and his team conducted the camp. Mr Rajendra Patra, Zonal manager of BISWA and Ms Jayshri Mohanty, Manager Administration BRIC, Mr Subasis Mohanty, state liaisons officer, Mr Surendra Kumar , District manager Khordha , Mr Sangram Keshari Nayak, Mr Brajraj Mohapatra and N C Dhal of BRIC among others were present in the Camp.
