Bhubaneswar : HelpAge India Odisha Team organised its first ever heritage tour with Senior citizens from Bhubaneswar to Balasore on 25th Nov’11. The trip was flagged off by the Principal, Maharishi Public School, Bhubaneswar at 7.00 AM.
A 25 member team from five Senior Citizen Associations namely Senior Citizen Forum, V.S.S Nagar, Senior Citizen Association, Nilakantha Nagar, Senior Citizen Association, KESURA, Acharya Vihar Parishad & Snehi Samaj, and Kalpana flat area were accompanied by 5 members HelpAge Team on a full day tour to more than 200 Km from the State Capital, Bhubaneswar. The team went to Panchalingeswar temple first, after which the team returned to Balasore to have lunch. Then Visted to Chandipur sea beach & Khirachora Gopinath temple.
The team spent the whole day with great pleasure.
HelpAge Odisha branch is planning to organize similar type of tour with the residents of Old Age Homes in coming months.
