Bhubaneswar ( Odisha Samachar Bureau ) - In another step forward for
infrastructural development, the Empowered Committee meeting held under
Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sri Jugal Kishore Mohapatra today has accorded
in principle approval to several projects wherein the Secretary Energy and Spl.
Secretary PPP Sri Pradeep Kumar Jena outlined different projects for discussion
and approval. Chief Secretary Sri Mohapatra has advised the implementing
departments and agencies to work out timelines for starting of the construction,
completion of different phases of work and commencement of the services.
The approved projects include
Municipal Solid Waste Management proposed by
Berhampur Municipal Corporation,
Energy Efficient Public Street Lighting Project in
Bhubaneswar proposed by BMC, Post-
bid Capacity building Support proposed by H &
U D., Development of Storage and
Warehousing Infrastructure for rice proposed by
Planning & Coordination Dept. in
PPP mode, Biotech Park Project proposed by IDCO,
Chhendipada Common Corridor Project
proposed by IDCO and Municipal Solid Waste
management Project in Puri to
proposed by H & UD department. Besides Four laning of
Sambalpur-Rourkela Section of State
High Way-10 proposed by Works department has
been recommended to HLCA. The
Development Commissioner Sri Injecti Srinivas
replying to the media persons said
that earlier the empowered committee has also
approved the project proposals for
construction of Convention Center at Janata Maidan
and World Trade Center near Fortune
Towers at Bhubaneswar. The tendering and
bidding process for these projects
are in last phase of examination and evaluation which
is expected to be completed soon.
