India Likely to test Shaurya on Sept 24



Balasore: The Interm Test Range (ITR) , Chandipur  is likely to conduct a test of medium-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile, K-15 or Shaurya missile on September 24 , which will be used by the Army.
In this regard, already a meeting between the district administration and the ITR authorities has been held on Monday. ITR authorities  have approached the district administration to evacuate people   of   Jaydevkasba pahi, Sahajinagar Kasaba pahi, Khadu pahi and Kusmuli pahi which are within 2 km radius of range of Chandipur to safer places. About 401 families and livestock would be evacuated to the safer shelters to be erected at Gudu Pahi and Kalimandap area as told by the sadar tehsildar Pinaki Patnaik . They will be provided Rs140 (Adults) and Rs 70  (minors) .Similarly, on account of livestock, each household will be given  Rs 50 as compensation.
