Abduction Bid on KISS Students Foiled

Bhubaneswar  : Some miscreants' bid to abduct two students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), the largest tribal institute of the world, were foiled by alert security guards and staffs of the institute. Four anti-socials in two cars, bearing numbers OR 02 BM 7252 and OR 02 AA 0800, approached the back side of the campus and started to talk to some students present there. They were successful in luring some children with the promise of good food and publicity on a television channel. They were told that they have to speak on the television channel that in KISS they are kept without food and tortured in many other ways. When the children did not agree to this, they tried to take them forcibly. All these attracted attention of the security guard, who confronted them and rescued two children from inside the cars. He immediately informed the matter to Mr. Basant Behera, ADO, KISS. Inquired by Mr. Behera, they said that they had come here to meet one Mr. Rout.  Further quizzed about children found inside their cars, they sped away.
In this connection, a FIR has been filed in Infocity Police Station on behalf of 15000 students of KISS. It is a very sensitive issue  that aimed to demoralize the noble works done by KISS, intellectuals reacted. Students demand immediate arrest of the  miscreants.
