ECoR BAGGED NATIONAL RAILWAY AWARD FOR COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CARE





Bhubaneswar, 9th December’2011:
East Coast Railway has bagged the prestigious Comprehencive Health Care Cup  as the best Zone for the outstanding achievements in Health Care in Indian Railways for the year 2011.
            Shri Indra Ghosh, General Manager, East Coast Railway along with Dr. T. P. Srivastav, Chief Medical Director of East Coast Railway has received the award in 56th  National Railway Award Function at Baroda House Lawn, New Delhi from Shri Dinesh Trivedi, Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways, Government of India in presence of Shri M. S. Solanki & Shri K. Muni Appa, Hon’ble Union Ministers of State for Railways, Government of India.
After receiving this prestigious Award, Shri Ghosh stated that, East Coast Railway Medical Department has made all round efforts towards Health Care and have achieved remarkable results. He also stated that, East Coast Railway is committed for further improving its performance to achieve still higher standards in all areas of its operations.”
Apart from the Health Care initiatives for the railway employees, this railway is also involved in Health Care facilities to train passengers during their journey besides providing better passenger amenities to its commuters.
