JUNIOR TECHNICIAN ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE on GRAFT CHARGE

     Bhubaneswar , 17/7 ( Odisha Samachar Bureau ) -      Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No.43 dated.17.07.2013 U/s  7 P.C. Act was registered against Sri Suresh Pradhan, Junior Technician, Office of the Junior Engineer, Electrical ,WESCO, Hospital Road ,Sambalpur for demand  of illegal gratification of  Rs 15,000/- from the  complainant  Sri Subash Agarwal, A.N.Guha Lane, Town P.S, Sambalpur     not to impose any penalty  on him on the physical verification reports in respect of 2nos of Electric Meters, which was inspected   on 13.7.2013.

                        In course of investigation a trap was laid on 17.7.2013 by the Vigilance Officers of Sambalpur Division. Sri Suresh Pradhan, Junior Technician   was caught red handed by the Vigilance Officers in front of Bank of Baroda, Sambalpur while accepting bribe amount of   15,000/- from the Complt. Sri Agarwal as per previous demand.   Bribe amount  15,000/- was recovered  from   pant pocket of Technician Sri Pradhan and seized in presence of witnesses. His hand  and pant pocket wash gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance of bribe.

                        Sri Suresh Pradhan, Junior Technician, Office of the Junior Engineer, Electrical ,WESCO, Hospital  Road ,Sambalpur has been arrested .

            Investigation of   both the cases are continuing.
