is a proud privilege to inform you that OM Kalinga kala Parishad, Bhubaneswar
one of the glorious and well-known Odissi dance and music institutes of the
state is going to organise a cultural evening featuring odissi dance,
music and instruments on 25th July 2013,thursday at Jayadev Bhawan,
Bhubaneswar. The evening will also showcase a few exclusive choreographies by Guru
Smt. Rashmi Mishra, Principal and Director of the institute, along with other
dance items.
OM Kalinga
Kala Parishad, an academy of dance, music, instruments and fine arts is
celebrating its 28th annual cultural evening where more than 60
students will perform and present the different compositions by the institute.
The institute from the time of its inception is determined towards enhancing
the culture of Odissi dance and music by composing new dance items but strictly
adhering to the traditional style.
The OM Kalinga Kala
Parishad is an academy dedicated towards providing training in dance, music,
instruments and fine arts since more than two decades and is presently running
at K-8, Kalinga Nagar, Bhubaneswar as well as a branch at BJB Nagar,
Bhubaneswar successfully.
The cultural secretary of the institute
Aradhana Panigrahi said, “On 25th July 2013 at Jaydev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar at
6.00p.m., well trained disciples of the institute will present an exclusive
show of their talent and production. The event shall be started with
Mangalacharan and continue with dasa abatar, pallavi, abhinaya, odissi vocal and
other folk dances. A special attraction will be the
Taala-Badya that will be presented by small children of the institute playing
Pakhawaj together.” The organizer and secretary Kamalakanta Panigrahi
said, “All well appreciated innovative works will be presented before the art
lovers. The evening is going to be one of its kind
and category.” The compositions are choreographed by Nrutya Acharya Guru
Smt.Rashmi Mishra and her disciple Aradhana Panigrahi.
Sj. Prafulla
Kar, renowned singer, composer, director, lyricist and writer and Sj. Dash
Benhur, eminent writer, educationist and ex- principal, S.C.S (A) College, Puri
will grace the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
