S.I OF SCHOOLS CONVICTED IN VIGILANCE CASE:

       

 Cuttack,22/7 ( Odisha Samachar Bureau ) - Balasore Vigilance P.S. Case No.18 dt.1.4.2003 u/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)/ 7 P.C. Act, 1988 was registered and charge sheeted against   Sri Subash Chandra Nayak, Ex-S.I of Schools, Jhumpura Block Dist. Keonjhar   for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of 300/- from the complt.  Sri Bhajana Patra, Headmaster of Durgapur Primary School to release  his  arrear salary. The case was under trial in the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar.

 On completion of trial Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar in his judgment dt. 22.07.2013 held Sri Subash Chandra Nayak, Ex-S.I of Schools, Jhumpura Block Dist. Keonjhar A/p Headmaster of Bhaluka U.G.U.P School under Jhumpura Block, Dist-Keonjhar , guilty of the charges, convicted and sentenced  him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for  6 months and to  pay fine of 1,000/-, in default of payment of fine to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 1 month more for the offence u/s  7 P.C. Act.   Further, sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 1 year and to  pay fine of 2,000/- in default of payment of fine to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 2 months more for the offence u/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)  P.C. Act.

Both the sentences are to run concurrently.
