JSPL, Barbil organized MEGA HEALTH CAMP at BASUDEVPUR CHC

 Barbil ,13/7 ( Odisha Samachar /Cj Sangita Mohanty ) - JSPL, Barbil had organised a Mega Health Camp at Basudevpur CHC on 12^th July 2013 out of the series of Health Camps that shall be organised across the Joda Block every month for the session 2013-2014 in collaboration with the district administration.

 This was done in association with the Basudevpur CHC (Govt. of Odisha) and NRHM. It was inaugurated by Shri. G S Mittal (Sr. VP, JSPL Barbil), Shri V.C.S Rao (VP, JSPL, Barbil) and Bikramananda Moharana, CDMO Keonjhar.
 More than 2000 people availed the medical facility (check up and medicines) in the camp. The camp provided free medical check-ups and medicines to the villagers. People from adjoining villages also gathered in whopping numbers. To and fro transportation facility was provided to the villagers. There were doctors from all the disciplines. The patients were guided by the officials of the company, the AWW, ANM, ASHA workers.
 Paediatrics and Genecology was more emphasised in the camp as majority of the patients belonged to that category of children and women and partly because the children are more prone to the seasonal diseases and malnutrition. Utmost care was taken in diagnosing and prescribing medicines. The camp was started from 9.00 am till 4.30 pm. However the patient login came early since morning.
 The propaganda for the camp was stressed upon 2 days prior to the camp and care was taken that the message reached each and every household. Banners, leaflets & posters were distributed for communicating regarding the camp.
 Different medicines were prescribed and given to the mass free of cost. Medicines such as Antibiotics, Oral Fluids / IV Fluids, Pain killers, Multi Vitamins, Syrups, Anti-malarial, Folic acid tablets, cold and fever were provided. Besides this Diabetes check-up, Blood pressure check-up, Blood test was also done. Additional Doctors and Lab technicians were present to address the need of the villagers.

Dr. N.C. Behera(Medicine), Dr. K.C Khatua(ENT) , Dr. K.P Behera (Paediatrics),Dr. G.C.Rout (O & G) , Dr. P.K.Mahaallik(Skin & V.D) , Dr.  A.Pandey, Dr. Manas ,Biswal ,Dr F.M. Naik , Dr. S. Dhal (O & G) , Dr. Banoj Rout were joined in the camp  and rendered health check up service to the patients.  

JSPL  aims forward in bringing more such camps in the adjoining areas so as to uplift the health status of the unreached areas. Health being a primary concern and a need unaddressed to these marginalised is a prime concern of the  Company.

It was a successful initiative with the initiation and participation from the CSR, Medical Departments (JSPL & SMPL) and the Government health officials of CHC Basudevpur.
